Quote:Got my 1st Proof set. Needed it for the Ike, but I think the rest of the coins look good to. Came with sleeve but didn't take picture of it. This is also my 1st Proof Kennedy half, Quarter, Dime, and nickel. Excellent!

Thanks all.
I need the 1990 Eisenhower Commemorative Silver Proof Dollar as well...so I found a 1990 Silver Us Mint Prestige Proof Set. Should be here next week.

The Thomas Jefferson Coinage and Currency Set showed up in my mailbox over the weekend. I need to get some better lighting before I take pictures but I do have a few questions about the set...
o What year was it released? I'm guessing 1994 since that's what the nickel is dated, even though the commemorative is dated 1993 (and boy, is that a good-looking coin). o What was the product code and original sales price? o Are there any other burnished ("frosted", whatever) nickels besides this one and the Botanic Gardens issue? Thanks in advance.
The packaging of my set is slightly damaged...there's somewhat of a fold in the upper left hand corner. I should have paid more attention to the auction photos but the price was right so I'm not unhappy in the least. In fact I'll probably look for an upgrade down the road and plan to pop these coins (and $2 note) out for albums.

Hope link is OK. http://news.coinupdate.com/thomas-j...nickel-1315/Hope this helps you out. Answers part of your second question as well.

Got my 1990 Prestige Set today. If you don't already have a Prestige set already in your collection, I recommend you add at least one. You will be glad you did. Took several pictures of it. Unfortunately mine didn't come with a COA...Anyone got an extra one for this set?
