Hello from way south of the border!

Was browsing UK Half Crowns on the Bay just the other day, and someone decided to list this under that category for some reason. I don't necessarily collect these, but it looked nice enough for $18 so I thought "why not?".

The grading of Canadian coinage is beyond my scope of knowledge, so I thought I would submit here for opinions on grade.

1910-Fifty-Cent

Many thanks!

I would say about a F12.
You did good on the price.
And welcome to the Canadian Forum.

I personally would like to see more of the crown band for me to give a Fine grade... so I think VG...

But book value is around $30 for this... I would say you got it at a very good price of 50% of trends (thereabouts)

Picture was slow to open, a line at a time, but it did. Nice coin for 18$, no doubt.

Looks like an F-12 to me, the ear is unnaturally worn flat but I'd say it still makes the grade. $18 is a steal for that coin

Welcome to you the guy from way down south of the border :)

These coin its date was minted 649K times and there was two difference varities they made then one call the Victoria Leaf and the other it call the Edward leaf.

The Vic leaf is more harder to find and worth about 1/3 more than the Ed depend on the condition - it look like you got the Ed leaf and I would say maybe a solid VG10 grade maybe F12 depended on the grader.

The valued might be about $30 - $35 dollar in the market right now.
