bonham3 Valued Member United States 346 Posts	Posted 10/05/2007 5:09 pm Curious, before trying to get a good pic. and posting, Have this one that looks bronze/gold tone only on the fields of the entire rev. Only right half of coin on the obv. field only. Thicker hor. bars and thin ver. lines on the obv. and thin random lines running N/E to S/W on rev. Looks odd, the tone and the fact it is only in the field area. Report this Post to the Staff

coop Bedrock of the Community United States 62064 Posts	Posted 10/05/2007 8:00 pm Is your coin BU? If not that might explain why it is one color in the fields and the higher details missing the tone. I've bought rolls of Cents that were toned on one side, the other side was normal. I always thought it was stored in the heat and one side toned and the other did not. One the older Cents due to a poor mixture of copper the planchets looked like they were made of wood. Some find it attractive, others don't just depends on the collector.
