Is My Silver Proof Set Counterfeit?

CoinFan2 New Member United States 1 Posts	Posted 03/03/2015 6:29 pm I recently bought a 1976 3-piece silver proof set on ebay. I just got it and while the coins look good, the quarter and ike shake a bit in their capsules. Has anybody else seen this issue, or should I be suspicious? Thank you! Report this Post to the Staff

If your concerned about the coins movement in the holder that shouldn't be of concern because holders were a lot different in 1976. Report this Post to the Staff

If that is your only concern, then no, they are not counterfeit. BUT, if they are rattling around because they are poorly made counterfeits... Its the only way to be sure.
