Now I regret not picking one up after seeing all of these photos. These are great coins. I was on the fence and elected not to.

You can still order one if you like. I bought a set as soon as I got the email about them. And am happy with them, more so after looking at them in person. I just read the reviews on this set on the RCM website. Although most were positive, there was an American point of view, that pointed out that with the number of different coins being released, it was unlikely they will hold their value. I agree to some degree, mainly just the overwhelming options to choose from, with monthly releases. I started collecting what I considered low mintage, which at the time, I believed to be 10,000 or less. When the mint started pumping out coins like it was a race, they had to get the mintages down to appeal to collectors. The 10,000 mintage now seems the norm in many cases. I think that there will be few, if any other coins in the $120/each range that will have a mintage of 3000. This set will hold it's value because of that, despite the number of coin designs being released. But I'm certainly no expert. |

I am very impress with the set, the 3-D aspect of it, as if the mask is raised/floating.
However 2/4 of the sets has some problems: antique coins has similar problem as yingyang's coin and also the enamel coins has little blobs of on some spots.
Now what?

Send them back. I wonder...... If coins like that get returned, do they:
a) produce more to keep the mintage 3000?
b) resell them as is?
c) pull them from stock, reducing number of coins available?
And if 1 coin is defective, what happens to the others in the set?

And if 1 coin is defective, what happens to the others in the set? Option "c" sounds most real. They will not try to resell detective coin - unnecessary expenses. But the other "good" coins are re-usable, as well as the packaging, if it in the mint condition. |

Some coins can be "repaired" but I doubt the antique finish can be removed and reapplied or even applied a second time.

79% Mask sets sold out , 527 sets remaining "supposedly" , 79% of 3000 = 2370, 3000 minus 527 = 2473 , so give or take 100 sets or so.

The issued let's say 2.000 of each coins, and combining them into the boxes + COA ==> packaging and shipping. Decided to take a look at this set at least once a week. First time (cause previously was amaized by coins only), took carefull look at the box and coa. So nice box! I want another one for 2009, 2013, 2014 masks...but they will not sell it  Paid attention to the COA, and...I saw that although it not unique COA, but special COA. Yes, you guessed correctly: 687 / 3000Quick math shows (Northencoins good at it, although he doesn't like my algorithm): 687 / 3000 6 8 7 / 3 0 0 0 6+8+7 / 3+0+0+0 21 / 3 2 1 / 3 2+1 / 3 3 = 3 the COA is balancedEdited by Silveroid

I'm not sure I follow. What does the cerificate number have to do with anything? It's not likely that the coins are actually numbered in the same order they are produced.

I would say that rather than special, the COA is unique. No other COA has the same number, therefor they are all unique. Personally, I don't care what number is on mine, but having 0001/3000 would be kind of cool.
It would be even cooler if the "evil eyes" coins a few pages back were numbered 666. Lol.

But this one time, if you will see nice number or nice combination of digits - for half a minute you will be happier.  |

I just received my singing moon mask gold coin. It is stunning and one of the best gold coin I have seen. The high relief and colour just too powerful!   |
