My 2 issues with the fractional set is first the Mintage is too high, second is they should have put enameling on all the coins not just one. The other coins just look "Bare" compared to the only enameled coin in the set.The price is decent if only the set had say 5000 mintage or less.

yingyang, I am surprised they didn't just offer to drop an outer cover flat packed in the regular mail for you. It would likely have just cost them mere dollars vs all the back and forth of the full set. Wasteful behavior by the mint.

This 3 coin set continues to garner attention...and steadily moving towards "awaiting stock"... In regards to a rumour that more of this design to be produced into larger sized coins...anyone know anything about this? It would be quite impressive in 5 oz...or 1 Kilo.

But we have set only and standalone 2009, 2013 and 2014 masks. So, the large version, that will be produced, will also be standalone product...like Gold masks coins. So, I do not think, that with RCM price will buy large coins (although still thinking about 5oz 50 cents), but already curious - which Mask will be chosen for the large coin, which finish will be applied? Will it be concave coin?

Smilodon,
thanks for all the great pictures. I've yet to see any of these coins (including my own) out of the plastic capsules.

I know, I figured someone would mention that. Usually never out of the capsule but they took much better photos without it. I know the silver shouldn't be exposed to air. I washed my hands before putting nitrile gloves on. And no sliding on any surface, when placing them. I have a camera puffer to blow away lint, etc. I guess any of these imperfections won't matter if I get a greasy fingerprint or milk spot on them... Now I'm paranoid.

The first coins I bought, I opened the case to blow away what looked like dust. You can guess what happened. What is the worst that can happen? lol. If I had a gold mask, I wouldn't even take it out of the box. I usually get paranoid before my actions, not after.

Those truly are the best photos I've seen of these coins. The plastic capsule really takes away from the stunning 3d effect. If that "best photo" contest is still on, you get my vote.

Thanks! I learned my lesson with a tube of RCM silver maple leafs... So much fun to flip off your thumb and catch in the palm, spin on the table, clink the stack, what a sound! And now... They are some ugly coins. They are the stack reserved for handling if I ever get the urge. Or to give away to son, nephew, nieces, etc. Not a big loss.

Agree with this. Amazing pictures, thank you! Initially thought, that the software has been used to remove the capsule on the pictures.
