Hi! I am brand new to the coin community as of today! I am from the Philadelphia area. I just got a starter scope and am enjoying checking out my first coin which is a 2005 D Jefferson Ocean View Lewis & Clark Nickel. Looking forward to interacting with the community to explore the world of coin collecting

Hello everyone, I'm glad to join this group and hope to interact with many of you. I'm from Ontario, Canada and I inherited my late father's coin and banknote collection. I have spent the better part of six months organizing and cataloging the 4 large bins that my family never knew existed. I am trying my best to learn about this hobby. I strictly am only interested with Canadian coins and banknotes. Although I plan to sell most of it, I do plan on completing his Canadian silver dollar collection. I plan on asking many questions so be prepared! LOL. On the other hand, maybe there are items I have that other members are interested in. Wishing you all the best! http://goccf.com/t/477729

Hi,
My name is JP, I am from Alpine, Texas and currently live in Houston. I have loved coins since I was little and still do but recently started getting into the nitty gritty of it a bit more.

Good day everyone, I appreciate the add to the group. I'm a card collector more than anything and a situation arose where I was owed for baseball memorabilia but as it happened, I either had to accept what I was told was error pennies worth what I was owed,( we all know where I'm headed)! And after finding this group I've managed to take what was supposedly a butt ton of error pennies into a pile of what appears to be errors but thanks to y'all's I found severe Die Deterioration was not an double die or Machine Doubling and what I ended up w is a handful of really really nice DDO / DDR's 69, 85, 71, 89 etc w stacked clear doubling of the letters, NOW!!! I am not truly interested as I am in cards and want to use these to supplement my card income, soooo is this a place that with ( of course pics, coined or however I gotta do it) I could maybe find a buyer for them cause I despise ebay and the display of today's acts of selfishness and the way humans treat otherhumans

Hi! I live in northeastern Pennsylvania, U.S.A. I used to collect coins when I was a kid and loved it...but that was before the internet was available so it was difficult to learn about the coins and, at that time, it was also difficult to buy/find them. About 5-6 months ago, I decided to get back into collecting and I am glad I did! It's been great to learn about all the error types, grading, mintage numbers, and other coin facts. I have questions about some of my coins so I figured I should join a online coin forum and post pics/questions. I'm looking forward to becoming more active on the site, asap!

Hi all,
I'm living in the midwestern US right now, but travel to Iceland frequently (two to four times a year); hence the name.
I collect primarily UK and Icelandic coins, but am slowly collecting all the Australian Kookaburras (missing 5), Isle of Man 20p Castle Rushen Clock coins (missing 4), and UK 20p proof pieces (complete up to 2008 - I need most of the ones after that).
I do have some US, Canadian, and other countries coins, too.
I look forward to learning and sharing in the forums.

Hello! James here in Payson, AZ. Recently inherited a coin collection and going through this pretty sizable collection has been fun. I thought I would join since I came across an interesting Morgan that may have some value and looking for some help. Nice to be here! I'll be posting pictures in the other forum of my coin and probably other interesting ones I come across.

Hello everyone, my name is Brian. From Philly but live in Boca Raton FL. I'm a newbie started roll hunting, buying, collecting roughly 1.5 yrs ago. If you look up the definition on exactly how you shouldn't start collecting, roll hunting you will see my picture!! Sorry I've spent the last 10-12 months doing a lot of reading and learning. I love double dies, esp ears for some reason I thought every coin I looked at had a DDR or DDO lol! And I saved everything!! Total disaster! Very disturbing the amt of coins & hours I spent putting coins in flips and then taking them out of the flips! I've read a lot of post's on here & didn't want to be 1 of those guy's. I'm certainly not ready to give opinions but would love some feedback. Ive been in finance 30 yrs this Aug great with #"s but I have to read things 4-5-10 times to learn that why. Whoever wrote the article on DD about "separation " that was a great help! Difference with MD flating & shelving vs Hub separation & notches Though sometimes I see pics of major DD still difficult. I'm ready for my 1st post lol. I think! I look forward to getting to know you all, it will be nice to know ppl with same interests most my friends think I'm nuts or sned me pics of every coin they get in charge.

I'm from Mustang, OK. Was always interested in coin collecting and dabbled here and there with a few coins, but 3 years ago, my wife's uncle passed away and she became the representative for his estate. We found several jars of pennies that he had been keeping since the mid 70's and I decided I needed to look at every one of them...and now my collection is over 1000 coins, most not really worth anything, but I have several that could possibly help my finances out some if I ever get them graded.
