Hi, I am new to this forum and looking to find any information about my dime below. Is it an error? Is it worth much? Thanks! :)

PMD but I don't understand how someone could lathe in that circular pattern and not affect the devices in a circular pattern with it.

Almost looks like, a lathe pattern, like a brake drum resurfacing lathe.? Obviously smaller than that though

with what has been posted. This is kind of baffling, though. I don't understand how the devices remained where they did -- unless it fell into whatever it was that did this, at an angle. Even then, the lathe pattern is remarkably even for something that was at an angle.

I'd keep it, just because it would be fun to show people.

It was done by a lathe. PSD. Why? People damage good coins. Here is how they make the magician coins:

How do you tell if the coin you have is one of these? Note the area next to the rim:

You can see the evidence next to the rim of the coin.
