It has been good while since I have seen this brought up, and times do change. Curious what has lasted for you guys?

Personally I am an avid user of Amazon for almost everything. Coinstar giving the gift cards and charging no fee for it has been amazing for me. I actually need to build a new computer so that warrants another $1000 searched, as I will just part it out on Amazon.

I suppose my situation is rather unusual. My pick up bank is happy to accept the box of halves that I search every couple of weeks.

Depending on the size of the bank it may not make a difference, but I feel like the superstitious side of me, I would never dump at a place I picked up. Have you ever marked a roll to know you are not getting the same? I have never marked a coin, this might be the one instance I tried it.

I don't do halves but I dump at my bank with a free counter. Then pick up brink boxes sometimes.

My local Coinstar does Amazon and that's my most often strategy. They also do Lowes and Home Depot, so if I need a new saw/tool/supplies, i'll dump that much and get a no fee credit for them. I miss when they used to do a $50 for $40 promo, where if you dumped $40 you'd get $50 in iTunes ( and I think they did Chili's restaurant once also).

However, I found that since I can get no fee credit at Amazon, i'd buy crap on Amazon that I didn't need, thus wasting money.

Lately, I've been slowing down and CRH, so I just dump into a 5 gallon bucket for a rainy day fund.

I reroll and deposit at a bank other than my pickup bank. No free coin counters in my town, and coinstars offer no fee gift cards at places I rarely shop, so they are not a good option for me.

Bank of America allows you to put them in a big bag and ship them off to get counted/deposited in your account...all free of charge.

It's not impossible to find a bank that will take rolled or loose coins in bags, and give you cash immediately. I've done it for several years. I don't hold the patent on this method.
