Sorry for the ambiguity in my question.
I'm also wanting this set for my collection, but I'm not so sure about the price.
I can get it for 500 Canadian Dollars. Is that a good price?

@Petersun,
Considering each coin has issue price of $110 x 6= $660, $500 is a bargain. Wish I paid that amount.

So the CAD 500 for the set + wooden box sounds attractive. But this makes to assume, that it will continue to fail in price, "fast and successfully" to 300 - 400 after one year. |

Apparently the coins which were previously only available by subscription can now be purchased individually.
I think they make for a nicer set when together, however for those who just want one or two designs this should get them excited!
For all the beaver and bunny chasers/collectors, this is certainly good news but disappointing for the rest who ordered the entire collection and are now stuck with them.

But the fact, that the coins have been available everywhere as singles , except the Mint. I still think, that the set is nicer, than couple of designed, but all depends on preference and budget. Bought only the first and the last coin from CA and Canada Post. |

Why are you are stuck with them when the coins are the same price whether they are available as singles or as a subscription? With the subscription you get a box. No box if bought separately. |

The best example is "Lakes" set, which sells under issue price (not to mention 1oz O Canada set - selling it way below issue). The model of subscription + availability of single coins is flexible for mint, but doesn't keep it's value on the secondary market. |

There is one way below issue: http://www.ebay.com/itm/191683405330I kept an eye on it. The seller has been lowering the asking price week on week. I am tempted, but the lack of chance that this set will ever gain in value makes me say "no"... Plus, it's still USD435 which I'd rather spend on 5 of the upcoming ATB bullion pucks (that'll be 25oz rather than 6oz of silver). |

Ya sadly this is the way for lot of the RCM higher mintage stuff, with ebay/paypal fees the seller will be lucky to get $500 for 6 coins and the case. Issue was like $100 each right? Edited by Northerncoins

Issue was CAD109.95 (please, let's not mix up $ and $ - they can mean either USD or CAD). ;)
So, if the seller sells for USD415 and considering he ends up paying 10% in final value fees and some 3% to PayPal, this will leave him with a loss of CAD190 (give or take).

You just used US and CA in the same sentence! Now we are all confused! No just kidding lol. If you view in on ebay.com it only shows US but if you view it on ebay.ca it shows both us and ca. |

You brought up one of my pet peeves - ebay's exchange rates. If you buy something that is being sold in a currency other than your primary currency in PayPal, PayPal will automatically convert it for you - and guess what - charge you some 2.5% for it. Hence, the converted price you see is not the price you pay. Even if you pay directly by credit card (& circumvent your PayPal account), PayPal will still convert it for you if your credit card is not in the currency of what you're buying. PayPal used to have an option of letting you pay in the original currency, but they got rid of it to make more money. |

At $500 I still decided not to buy it.
Even though it's a good price for collecting these coins, I called a local larger coin retailer and they offered to buy it for $300, since they don't have any in stock.
I prefer to spend either something like $450 or use that money to collect real nickels at high grade.

Its ebay by using the "sell" price for foreign exchange for its listings. For example, if it is US$100, then the ebay listing ln Cdn$ will be $130, even though the exchange rate is 1.27.
