sorry T1Steel, there are no pics but Google "RFD collector and numismatic".
You'll find descriptions on one of the last pages.

Quote: I think it's pretty obvious that a typo was accidentally made regarding either the platinum coin's specifications or price. I do not think, that we should take it as default. Some surprises will always bee good. Hope, if it costs below $600, they will send real limit of 1 per household, cross checking Names, CC and payment address and shipment address But, yeah, in the most probable reality it would cost $1000 more than posted. @T1Steel: The info posted by Windscar on the other forum aka "RFD" - Collector Numismatic Coins Discussion Thread page 3024.

Quote: I do not think, that we should take it as default. Some surprises will always bee good. The current spot price of platinum is about $1,428 CAD per ounce. The RCM would never sell a one-ounce platinum coin for $519 CAD. There are three possibilities: 1) the price quoted in the other forum was a typo, 2) the coin's quoted weight was a typo, or 3) the coin's stated denomination was a typo. My guess is that the denomination and weight were specified correctly, and that the price was a typo. Plan on spending $2,999 CAD if you want one!

As major RCM distributor, ebay has already : 2015 Canada Legacy Canadian Nickel #3 The Victory 5-cent Silver CoinCharges bit more, than RCM - CAD 134.95 with free shipping Canada. Item #111628112290Have to mention, noticed, that although the NCLT nickels repeat the original design, somehow the relief of the engraving looks like "flat". It was specially noticeable, after SilverDon posted some originals. @Commems: You should be right. At least recently, they issued 1oz pt for ~3000 or 1/10oz for CAD 300.

Re: 5 cent nickel victory torch I'm struggling with this one as well - for two reasons: The "V" could have been a bit larger to the coin's proportion - And, this design was originally a commemorative - versus a regular circulation design as found with previous two... Same issue with the next one in line too... Looking forward to the beaver design, of course.

Quote: And, this design was originally a commemorative - versus a regular circulation design wasn't it "circulation" design for 3 years? I didn't like the proportions as well, and was in "low" hope, that they will strike it 12-sided, but they did something in the middle - 12 sided design inside of round coin. I just feel, that it important design in order to miss it.

It was not strictly a Commemorative Nickel it was the first non-standard circulating Canadian coin other than commemorative dollars. Intended to stimulate the war effort. The message "We Win When We Work Willingly" is engraved in Morse code on the rim of the coin. The V nickel was struck between 1943 and 1945. Some of the coins from 1943 and 1944 were made of Tombac (bronze)
