Found this morning. Thoughts? I think it may be a Greaser that has since seen a lot of circulation.

Hi Cbass - I think you are right. Full rim but weak/washed outer devices point to grease and worn dies. Add 62 years of wear....

Might be a weak strike. Wait for more experts to chime in.

The weight might tell us more. But if it is a weak strike, why? Most of the times a weak strike will be a thin planchet.

But with the circulation factor, that might alters the surface also. So if the weight is close to normal, there may have been some grease in those devices that are weak?

The die is also in the VLDS when your coin was struck. (note the die flow lines) So a lot of factors could be going on with your coin. (It could even be a combination of events)
