I'm planning on buying this 1915 $20 FRBN for $580, it's the only real one I've ever seen. What do you guys think? Is it worth $580 and is it that rare?

From this site we have the following information:

Quote:
The 1915 Twenty dollar bill Federal Reserve Bank Note is a rare note. They tend to come in low grades but in high grades they are pretty valuable. Value is based on the condition and district.

A range of values for a 1915 Twenty dollar bill would be from $500 to $12000.

Good luck with it!

Looks to be a rare not but the eye appeal is lacking IMHO. How much more is one that looks better?

To me, price looks good for its condition. If it's the only one you've seen that is in your range, then I don't think you'd be upset to pull the trigger. It falls in the average price range. My friedberg book says a vg-8 would run $1,150.

If you are this hesitant then pass on it. Don't regret your purchase.
