Update: since the bank is right across the street from where I work, I have gone over there several times today. Each time, I got 2 boxes and then looked through 10 rolls. Alas, I believe the well has run dry. I also tried a box of quarters... No luck. Ah well, at least I have the memories... And a crap load of silver!

dont give up until you search around.... these boxes must be elsewhere! but if you end up with that 1 box, it is still the best dime box ever!

Yep, I'll be checking around. There are several branches around these parts. And I have an account at another big bank, too. The next few days will be busy.

There is only one Merc, and it's so beat up, I can't read the date.
Meh. Minor loss.

But including that coin, there were exactly 250 silvers!
Excellent total!

nickpicker,

I have been thinking about diversifying into dimes. Your thread is getting me more interested!

Wow, what an incredible box. I can't imagine how fun this was to search through. I'd be interested what dates and mints you were able to pull from the whole lot. You should just start a book from circulations and try to complete it now.
