Bought some rolls recently, for the first time, and thought I would post here to get done input on whether or not they sound good to you as they did to me.

This first batch seems to be relatively old. The Hotel Upson was built in Georgia the 1920s and was demolished about 10 years ago. The man claims to have purchased a lot of them at a yard sale from an old maid who once worked there:

This next group is from the same seller in Georgia. The newspaper wrapping date is 1955, but obviously that doesn't necessarily mean that is when they were wrapped:

This last roll is self explanatory. It has obvious that it has been tampered with in the second photo, but a 1911s isn't a bad coin and I only spent $40. I assume there are a bunch of 50s and 40s in there but I feel I paid only for the end coin and anything else is a gift:

The hotel rolls I would keep the paper rolls, some people collect them empty. Let us know what you find. Do you look for errors/varieties? I am thinking that maybe the news paper may be acidic? Should they be removed before damage to the coins occur?

I will keep them I did not know they were collectible! I look for everything and anything, whether it be older coins or errors.

Perhaps Marty McFly brought the newspaper-wrapped rolls back from 1955?

I'd want to open them straight away!

How much did you pay per roll? Maybe I missed that, but I saw 40$ paid.

I would open them
