1996 Toonie Triple Error - Coin Community Forum

canadiancoinaholic Valued Member Canada 137 Posts	Posted 03/23/2015 5:56 pm Hi all, I have a 96 toonie that is miss struck as well as being a weak strike and most interesting (at least to me) is that it's a thin plachette. Any ideas as to why its so thin? It's 0.053 thick normal diameter. Report this Post to the Staff

Fixguy Pillar of the Community Canada 532 Posts	Posted 03/23/2015 6:18 pm Have you weighed it yet? your specs should be: weight: 7.3 grams diameter : 28 mm and thickness: 1.8 mm I'm looking at it suspiciously but I don't know much about the 96.
