I don't think there will be any change in the value for the 1996-W dime. It isn't a high value set now so I don't see why the new dimes will cause the value to increase. Count me in for the new dimes though, I am excited for the release and can't wait to get mine ordered.

Hey CelticKnot, can you post a direct link to where I can pre-order or find these for $61.95 on the mint's website?

Dang, I'll be in school around that time. Luckily it'll be my lunch hour so I'll probably purchase it on my phone. I assume they accept payment through paypal?

I'm thinking this is a set not worth investing in. People please nothing to see here, move along. :)

Nope. Because...

Quite right. It's possible that they may put the product page up and let you add a calender reminder before ordering opens up at...

Probably a good idea if you can, Personally I don't think they will be sold out before you get home but better safe than sorry!

Unfortunately the U.S. Mint order system does not accept payments through PayPal.

Pretty sure there will be a flurry of posts on that day regarding this release. If you forget to drop this in your calendar yet still manage to visit us, you'll know to hustle on over to the US Mint site!

I think the discussion regarding the new 2015 set dimes being the "new key coins" is a bit off base.

First they are proof dimes...the 1996-w will still be the key of the MS series.... and.... for the proof series the 1950 and 1951 proof dimes had a lower mintage (51k and 57k) and will still be the keys to that series.

I should add that this will still be a great set to add to a collection

The 96 proof set does not have a W dime, the mint set has the w dime.
