I picked up an NGC certified 1979 S proof SBA today. Most of them that I have seen say either type 1 or type 2 referring to the S mint mark that had two varieties. This one does not say what type it is.
Based on my research in to the types, I wold think it is type 1 (more common).
Does anyone know why it would not say the type? Did NGC only start paying attention to the types later on? This is an older type of holder.
BTW it is graded PF69 Ultra Cam

That would be highly doubtful because the Type 1 an 2 SBA's were well established in the marketplace YEARS before NGC ever started slabbing.
