Quote: It will probably become available again for a short period of time because of order cancellations. There won't be any order cancellations until people see how it does on ebay. If the coin tanks, then we will see order cancellations or returned orders since you got 30 days to return coins if you don't want them.

Yeah, this is basically "safe bet"
Why not to order 2 (just do not think about this as "coin" but "item"), wait for the clear prices indicator, and then, or cancel or wait till delivery and resell. 30 days return policy allows this.
Do not think, that many people impressed by design....

I cancelled mine, I was on the fence, personally I am not enamoured with Looney tunes to justify the $800 coin, and I did not think that the demand would let me realize a significant profit on selling the second one to allow me to leverage the one down to a manageable price.
So there are at least 2 more available for some one.

Any idea why the 3 coin 2oz LT set isn't on the site yet?

also not to bash anyone, on RFD, but there are several people claiming to have bought the gold loonie tunes coin, and if the market falls out of it in a month they will just cancel their order, before it ships, if you want to be a flipper fine , if you want to be a collector fine, but those in the middle are just the worst...i wanted a coin for my grandson, but when I got home they were already awaiting stock, that's fine I will get something else. But when I see people pre ordering coins without a care , that's where I have a problem, if you want to flip it, buy it.. then take your chances..just my opinion,..

I think bashing people on RFD is just as bad. I'msurprised SPP-Ottawa made that comment. Your no better then the "bashers" on RFD now. Im a member of both CCF and RFD I collect both circulation coins and NCLT coins.....I buy coins to keep that I like and I buy coins to flip. Saying all members in RFD are ignorant flippers is very ignorant itself. There are many flippers on CCF also. Its all part of the hobby. Get off your high horses. There is not a certain law about how to collect coins.......I pre-ordered 2 LT gold coins......maybe they will be hot and I will make some money off them to purchase circulation coins for my collection....or maybe they will flop....then ill just cancel my order......don't see how that is negative.....it seems smart in my books

Absolutely correct. But let's see this from the Silverwolf' side: He wanted to get the coin to the kid, and didn't get, not because "too late" and not because "limited mintage", but due to the fact, that some people bought more then one, (I agree that with the single one the owner can do whatever he wants), and then people try to resell to the Silverwolf with the premium. Cause it free market and they (sellers) also want some money aside for the next coin purchases, and the buyers, lol, these losers sure weren't quick enough. Corrected: well, it's not 100% correct, of cause many coins allocated to dealers, some left for the public release. But basically on RCM also to keep some ethics: limit the purchase to the single coin, and the collectors better to respect other collectors needs - do not need to grab the maximum. When I think about capitalism, market etc... - all very nice and correct. But when thinking about details - speculation, nothing else.

I was quick enough to place one of the gold coins in my cart but then had second thoughts. As I had already placed an order for the 2oz three coin subscription, I decide to default to the latter. Thus, I cancelled the gold. Lower investment with the silver (5000 mintage and apparently high demand) and therefore probably equal return if one wanted to sell them. But then who knows, perhaps the gold will go the way of the first gold superman.
Cheers

There is no right and wrong on the topic of how many limited coins can a person buy. This is capital world. If RCM puts limit max 2 per household, and this person has money to buy 2 coins, either for personal collection or for flipping, it is his choice. If RCM has coins available for 5 hours+ after MC release, one MC member can not blame others because he missed purchasing the coin. Setting max 1 coin, 1 tissue box, 1 drink, 1 ................., is just like communist country. But we live in capital world, full of opportunity and full of regret. lol.

i agree totally, with above posts, if you agree to purchase 2 coins then you take delivery of 2 coins,
my problem is with all the people who were able to purchase them, and then they go on to say if the coin is flopping I will cancel my order..
just saying..

I just checked my email and saw 20+ post have been added since I last checked. WOW, lots of opinions flying around. None are right, nor wrong..... Opinions. Here are some of my opinions. 1) This site is better than RFD. Nothing against the site or users, I just find this one to be more informative towards my needs and easier to use. I'm not the best with computers and find this site easier to navigate. Also, this site seems to be to help other collectors while I find the few times I've checked out RFD, it was more of a "one up contest" of who had what and who was smarter. 2) I've bought extra coins with the intention of selling them off but have found it is not for me. It's not easy selling coins to experienced collectors. Any coin I've ever wanted during a new release I've been able to buy at issue price from RCM. (Or less elsewhere). Because of this, I have not required the services of a "flipper". I find that it would be much more enjoyable to stroll into a brick and mortor coin shop, than hand over more money than required to a flipper. Most coins for sale on ebay or kijiji, etc. can be found at any shop around release dates for fair prices. *for the record, all coins that I've sold for above issue, I've paid more than issue price for. I give the buyer the option of paying higher than issue or paying issue price along with non-perishable food that I donate to the food bank. Many times, if the buyer is not a Masters club member, the food donation is less than the cost of having the coin shipped from RCM. If they would rather just pay more, I buy the food to be donated myself 3) of course the RCM makes a profit. It's just staying in business. It's not as if the profits go to a single owner. Sleeping on a pile of money. These profits continue to keep the RCM the worlds best mint, with innovative designs and technologies. I'm sure some guys running the show at the RCM get paid pretty sweet bonuses but I can live with that. I am Canadian and am proud of my nations mint. RCM is second to none even with some silly designs or gimmicky offers. 4) since I've decide to buy ONLY coins for my private collection, I will likely pass on the Loonie Toons series. I think the cheapest coins in the series are the nicest, but the mintage is too high for my liking. The higher price coins look cheap to me. And I'm not a big fan of huge storage boxes. And I don't need a new watch. The only add on promotional item I've enjoyed is the steel chunk that was part of a ship that was included with a Canadian coastguard coin a few years ago. That is a piece of history, literally. These are my opinions. Feel free to share yours , just don't whine about something I said if you don't like it.

Also, I'd rather have seen 18 Canadian musicians on coins than cartoons. Just saying..... Rock n' Roll
