Got my first ever box today, was supposed to get 2; either they forgot to order or the Fed was out of halves!

They were Brinks rolls and here is what I got:

1948 D Franklin
54 D Franklin
63 D Franklin

2 NIFC

2 really beautiful ms grade commerative halves (1976 Bicentineal)
5 40% Kennedys 67, 3 of 68/s, one 69

AND: a gold plated 1943 s Walker!

Now I am hooked for sure!

Well I said goodbye to the top secret location I was doing 8 boxes a week at. It was drying up :) I've come half way across the country to my new theater of operation. In the past 3 weeks I've only been able to do 3 boxes but I'm happy with the results.

Box one - 1-64

Box two - 1-64 4-40%

Box three - 9-40%

I think I'm going big next week... like 10k big. I will post the results.

here's some pics, there is some gunk on the walker and a black spot one of the franklins, haven't attempted to clean it off yet. Can't figure out the gold walker, unless someone had it plated and worn as a necklace in holder, then it was later taken out and spent ( maybe by the guy who stole the necklace!) any other ideas?

Good job Bob........congrats!

$10 loose for me today - just a lowly 2003 NIFC in HORRIBLE shape. I put it back into circulation at Popeyes Chicken.

Thanks afcop, my heart skipped a beat for a micro-second when I saw that gold in the roll, thought I might have a Double Eagle, oh well, maybe next time.

My bad, listed the walker as 1943-s and it is a 41-s

i know a lot of people seem to get a lot of silver from customer rolls.. what is generally a good indication that there would be silver from them? I know its kinda a dumb question. I have been calling around to ask if banks have loose rolls, and most banks do not have any. they say they have recycled ones someone has dumped. the one time I got silver form CWR's, was when they had $240 or so rolls, which when I look back, is a number that is unlikely to be someone elses dump. thoughts?

Box 2 and 3 for the weekend were skunks.

Time to consider hitting some other banks and step away from the fed boxes for a couple days.

SD, there really is no rhyme or reason to finds in hand-rolled coin. I have found new-wrapped w/old silver, old-wrappered w/new clad, $310 in rolled dumps, w/the 31st roll being all silver, etc, you get my point...it is all luck of the draw. Nothing is really consistant.

roll being all silver

I'm still waiting on one of those, that would be a first for me. Never got anything older than a Walker, either, still waiting on my first Barber.
