Found just four silver-clad halves in the latest batch from the bank, plus these:

Decent clad proof, with mostly original surfaces:
JFK-Half-Dollar-Roll-Hunters:-Silver,-Proofs-And-Other-Finds
JFK-Half-Dollar-Roll-Hunters:-Silver,-Proofs-And-Other-Finds

Nice 1987-D (first one I've ever found!):
JFK-Half-Dollar-Roll-Hunters:-Silver,-Proofs-And-Other-Finds
JFK-Half-Dollar-Roll-Hunters:-Silver,-Proofs-And-Other-Finds

Plus, this coin which has the lowest-positioned mintmark I've seen on a JFK half. Can anyone show an example of a JFK half with a mintmark even lower?

I'm new at this but it sound like you guys/girls order a box a week, if not more. I'm going to need to do a lot more catching up. You're finding all the good stuff!

I've only done 1 box so far. It was a really good one. (20) 40%, (3)1964,
(1) 1962d Bennie, (1) 1999S silver proof and (1) 2007S proof! But now my bank's manager is giving me problems about ordering more. So...I sent a letter to corporate and got a quick response. So I replied telling them I'll give them a few days to resolve this issue or I'll close my account and walk across the street to another bank!

Yeah! The manager told me it was HIS policy and not a corporate policy....and actually suggested that I go to another branch (Which is 7 miles farther away) to get my halves. I let corporate know that it would be alot easier to just change banks instead of driving past 8 different banks on that 7 mile trip! 4 of those banks are within spitting distance of my bank!

Hi, I'm new at this forum and found this thread interesting. I remember my dad doing a lot of roll hunting when I was young. He sold off most of his collection a few years before he died, but some of it he kept to pass on to me. I've slowly been making an inventory list of everything and this thread inspired me to do his Kennedy halves. Apparently he quit collecting them after 1983 (or sold/traded them in) and didn't do much with the 1971 onwards. Most of these were found in change or from roll hunting in the Southern Indiana area although I suspect a couple he may have purchased.

I had a nice surprise when I went to pick up my usual 2 FED boxes from the bank yesterday - the teller forgot to order my 2 boxes last week so she doubled the order for this week and 4 boxes came in. I only took two since thats what I thought was coming in. I will stop back on Monday or Tuesday to get the other two boxes. I only found 1 40% silver in each box, but one of the boxes had 4 Proof S mint coins in it: 1 1994, 1 1980, and 2 1987 proofs. That is the most proofs I have ever found in one box. Now I am wondering what is in the other 2 boxes sitting in the vault, I will find out soon enough. Happy searching!

Welcome to NFICville. I found 5 NFICs in a Fed box yesterday. 2001, 2001D, 2002, 2004 D, 2005. No silver though. I've only got 1 silver from the last 2 boxes.

WMcKim: and nice finds, especially the 78 and 78D, which are very hard to find in decent numbers.

Just got $60 today, and it had 1 90% JFK, plus several very nice 82D BU (tougher to find in BU).

Well looks like I have to find another bank to get my halves from. District manager finally got hold of me. Anybody here from NC that has a bank that is easy to deal with?
