This one is in a problem free PCGS holder. Any guesses on the grade? I would also appreciate a VAM if anyone wants to take a stab at that. Edited by CoinCollector2012 04/17/2015 3:05 pm

I think Morgans were minted with a force field protecting the reverse.
I have it at 63 and VAM-13. Today's quiz is, why was that an easy attribution, and why doesn't the attribution matter in the long run?

Reverse solid 65. If the breasted was a little stronger I'd say 66. Obverse 63+. I'll say MS64 was the grade

Kinda hard to say from the pics (better lighting is needed). Likely a 63, maybe 64.

I'll guess MS63 as well.

MS63. I'm curious SsDd. I guess the attribution was easy because there are only two (identified) obverse dies with a near date position and one with a die polish line in the upper loop of the second 8. The only reason it would not matter in the long run is the quantity available vs. the level of interest from the VAMming community.

The reason it doesn't matter in the long run is it even admits on the reference page that this one's likely multiple dies. Eventually we may see both obverse and reverse paired with other mates, and it'll become a more granular VAM identification. It's a waypoint, not a final answer.
