Hi! Sorry that I haven't posted in a wile I went on a trip.
But I have a AMAZING story to tell you guys. So I live in a apartment complex and they have events every once and a while. So they had some pretty awesome music so I went down and I stood next to a tall man that kinda looked like Kenneth Bresset the lead editor for the 2015 Red Book. So I got my guts and asked if he was Kenneth and what do you know its him!!
So we talked about numismatics for a while then the festival ended. But...
I had a pretty logical idea of grabbing my metal detector and searching around. At the end I found 4.00 in scrap. Then I went to where the musicians played and I got a really strong silver signal and I dug about 7 inches and I found a 1965 half dollar!! but then I got a nickel signal and I had in my hand a 1942 P nickel!!!
I hope you can accept my apology for no pics but my computer is going whack.
That is a really neat story, meeting him, and then the MD finds. Used to go to really big biker parties on 4-July weekend, found a lot of 'interesting' things behind the main pavilion! It was a large building with a roof above. Lighters, knives, jewelry, etc.
