I used the bottoms of 2 ASE air-tites, combined with a little packing tape to keep them from separating. Has anyone heard of any mintage figures for the Privateer?

Is the 44 counting any shipping? That's a good price. I wonder if that was before silver climed two dollars?

Free shipping if you buy 3 or more, still available. PM me if you want more detail.

welder- So I am guessing that the producer mas minted more of these Privateers than we all would like.
NTR Metals offers a production capacity that allows the Elemetal Mint to produce bullion as demand requires.
Bummer they didn't put a year and limit on these. Still a very cool looking coin though. Still undecided on getting any.

I put my two into a display case for now. Not air-tight by any means but at least it shows off the obv/rev pretty nice. Only bad thing is it's one of those displays with the foam-type stuff and it isn't very tight at all so the coins would move around if I move it. Oh well works for a temporary fix until I hear of something better. Very nice coins though! :D

You know, if you want your son to believe that it is a family heirloom handed down from your pirate ancestors, you better just carry one in your pocket for a few years!

My kids and I might "find" one when we go metal detecting at the beach this summer.

We took our kids exploring around the rocks. I found a place called Pirates Cove that we were going to go to until I learned of a clothing issue.

This would make a great gold round too. Maybe in a one ounce version.

So I showed this coin to my father-in-law and he buys silver/gold but for investment purposes and he says he is going to buy some to put in a tiny chest in the backyard so that way when my son grows up he can search for "buried pirate treasure". :D
