If you'd like to share your experience with the U.S. Mint retail web site during the MoD rush today, I've started up a poll in the Main Coin Forum. https://goccf.com/t/228781#1906811Maybe someone from the Mint will be reading. If this post violates the cross/sign posting rule, please delete.

I didn't see any $295 sets listed as sold and none of the $195 sets have sold either
Makes no sense to pay that when 1) you can still order them from the Mint at $62 and 2) you can get them as pre-sales for $90-100
What is the point of paying twice as much as necessary just to "have" them earlier? But, anything can happen I guess

The problem is that the us mint are - most likely - sold out on these although one can still order them. I honestly don't understand why they just can't list it sold out rather than leaving it in limbo giving everyone the impression one can still order a set. If you order now it will be placed on back order status, and guess what, it will never be filled... What really annoys me is the uncertainty with the us mint - information is power and the us mint appear powerless to me.
They upgraded their website and ordering system but are incapable of listing something as 'stock exhausted' and giving the option of a wait list.
Really, the us mint are a bunch of ...

I am going to go against the grain here and say that they have sold around 35-40k sets..not close to a sell out yet, not even "currently not available" If they are taking orders (backordered) then there is product available...when it will be shipped is another issue. I guess we will see 1st day sales reported very soon... Quote: Back Order: When products are in "Back Order" status, this means that the product is available for sale, however there is no inventory in stock and a future ship date is displayed on our website. Products in this status can still be ordered online or through the Customer Contact Center.
Currently Unavailable: Currently Unavailable products have no remaining inventory in our warehouse and no additional production is scheduled. Additional inventory may be produced or become available. If so, customers who opt to receive an email notice will be notified that we are taking orders again.
Sold Out: Products in "Sold Out" status are no longer in stock in our warehouses and are no longer available for sale. Products in this status will be removed from the website shortly after they have sold out.

And then you also get folks who don't have the luxury to buy directly from the mint.

I agree with Foxwood ..in that I don't think this set is close to selling out yet.
I was hoping somebody finds the mint sales reports sometimes soon.
