1989 D Copper Dime? Any Ideas? Thanks

The weight of your coin is normal, a copper dime would have one or both clad layers missing which would result in a dime that is significantly underweight. Report this Post to the Staff
koinpro Pillar of the Community United States 1781 Posts	Posted 04/29/2015 4:51 pm This is most definitely a ground find. I pick up a handful ever year around where I park my Jeep after the snow melts away. You can find these in parking lots, etc., after the thaw. Most in parking lots will show abrasion from being drove over and those found on lawns next to a vehicle will often just be brown. It only takes one winter to do this too them.
