These sets can nearly sell out on their own without gimmicks. If the mint wants to include a special coin then they should dramatically increase the mintage so regular collectors have a chance to get one.
I have to agree. I want the set because I want the set, not because it is low mintage and not because it has a one-off coin in it. To be honest though, it is the silver medal that gets me. I was not a medal guy until I got the Teddy C&C.

On another note that Coin World article sucked. Not only did it have all 4 in December but it eliminated the bronze coin and shrunk the size of the silver medal....
Whichever intern fact checked this article needs to be sent back to the mail room...

Or you are right and they just wanted the "win." I expect more from them.

"But I read it on the internet so it has to be true"

Facts are irrelevant..

Ah, yes. Much nicer that they'll be spread out. December costs enough as it is.

Thanks for the good news.
June is just around the corner (right after I pay the cc bill for MoD sets). We still don't have a specific release date in June yet?

It will also give me a chance to add the Dwight D. Eisenhower 2015 One Dollar Coin Cover which was released the day after the MoD set.

I like C&C sets, but I wish they would stick to one or two C&C sets per year. It seems a little overkill to do one for each president. Plus if they are going to limit it to 17000, they should put a household limit of 1-2 instead of 5 sets. Let more collectors have a chance at getting them instead of having numerous people get as many people as they can to order 5 sets simply for the sake of flipping.

Honestly, I only really want the Eisenhower and Kennedy sets. I will get the other two if my budget allows, because I really like the silver medals.

I'll probably get all four because I'm a sucker for completing a series I started. Purchased my first one, the 2013 Theodore Roosevelt set, a couple of weeks ago. Now I'm hooked!

Likewise. I could probably afford food and shelter if I didn't spend all my money at the Mint.

Here's the MNB blog about the RP in the C&C sets:

http://mintnewsblog.com/2015/05/201...proof-coins/

Target date is confirmed to be Tuesday, June 30th, 12:00N for the Truman Coin & Chronicles set with the crazy limit of 5 per household on a distribution of 17,000! If you want this you have got to be on the website at Noon ready to load this into your shopping cart. It will be another MoD set frenzied hour easily selling out with the first 30 minutes.

After the last of the C&C sets this year, there will 13 RP coins in its little subset:
2006-W $50 Gold American Eagle
2006-P Silver American Eagle
2007-W $50 Platinum American Eagle
2011-P Silver American Eagle
2012-S Silver American Eagle
2013-W Silver American Eagle
2013-W Gold Buffalo $50
2014-W Kennedy silver half dollar
2015-P Silver Roosevelt dime
2015-P Harry S. Truman Presidential $1
2015-P Dwight D. Eisenhower Presidential $1
2015-P John F. Kennedy Presidential $1
2015-P Lyndon B. Johnson Presidential $1

If you don't get these sets in the first 10 minutes you might as well give up trying. I'm sure that website will be a cluster.....

I hope to get one, but I will not lose my mind if I miss out.

However, when the Eisenhower C&C set goes on sale... Y'all best keep out of my way...
