Can anyone tell me if these coins are real or realistically have a potential to be real? They seem ridiculously cheap. At the bottom is a link to a Forum discussion thread on the gold athena owl type of coin. Hopefully these links work...

No idea whether they are genuine or not. If I were to buy a gold coin from ebay, they would also have to have a shop on vcoins.

Granted there are a lot of nice coins being sold on ebay, but why would someone want to sell higher end ancient gold there than in a better auction venue where they would get more money. While most look real, so do good fakes. I would not take a chance on any of these coins.

Ancientcoins.market buys stuff from auctions (CNG, + European Auctions) and then puts them on ebay at 1 dollar with no reserve and usually ends up making around double his money.
It seems to make him good money since not a lot of people sell gold on ebay.

Also, the bids are low now, but they don't end for a while yet..

Here is one of his from the auction it originally sold at

I see they recommend that the buyers send the coins in to NGC after the sale. I wonder why they don't just send the coins to NGC before listing them?

He says that he gets them from private sellers by consignment...interesting that they come from actual auctions instead. Some of his coins in the past have included value estimates from other sources and they seem to sell for less than that. If they're real, though, they're beautiful coins. I think I'd better stick to sources that are more well known though, at least at those prices...
