Goes to show you that there are still notes out there waiting to be discovered. Earlier this year, a Series 1902 Red Seal from Ely, Nevada was discovered and sold.

That note is in amazing shape! I wonder what it will fetch at auction.

All it takes is for two wealthy Georgia collectors to want it. I wouldn't be one bit surprised to see it sell for around 60 to 80 K$ in a major auction.

The thing I would worry about is if there others in a hoard that will slowly surface over the next few years. I've seen it happen.

I was on Manifest Auctions seeing what they have in their upcoming auction when I remembered I never did follow up this post to say the $2 sold for $58,500.

My apologies for that oversight and bumping this up after so long. -MV
