Came across this coin online. Doesn't look right to me. I posted the reverse for now.

I call fake. The second 8 looks strange and the rim looks too wide.

Hard to be sure from these photos. The only thing that I can spot is that the rim seems to be of unequal width, and strangely it looks to be fatter at the bottom of each side, as if there was medal alignment. Being tht GSA's of this date are readily available and not exremely expensive, I can't see bothering with this if there's any question whatsoever (or even if there wasn't).
Edit: SsuperDdave (following post) makes a good observation about the angle at which the shots were taken, which probably invalidates my impression regarding the rims.

These images are seriously foreshortened by the tilted, offcenter photography. I don't know if you can come to any accurate conclusions about what stuff looks like at all based just on these pics.

Mint mark looks off it seems to close, I agree with the rims and they don't look right. Also libertys face looks off too....with that said I am pretty sure it's fake even though it's a common cc morgan

This looks no different from other well circulated 82-CC's out in coinland that I've run across over the years. If it passes a comparison ring test, and isn't magnetic, I'd say there is about a 90% chance it is genuine.

It looks ok to me. Where is it (if you are comfortable in releasing that info) and how much? That will answer most of your doubts. These can be had on ebay in this condition all the time. If you are not comfortable buying from that seller, I'm sure you can find one on ebay that is guaranteed genuine depending on the seller.

Looks good to me. I've seen many like that come out of cull bank bags. Probably spent a LONG time circulating in old west towns, saloons, gambling rooms, etc... But like lucky cuss said. Why pay $80 ish for this when a nice gsa can be had for $200 or less. Unless you like the circulated / historical look or are doing a circulated set?

I too don't see an immediate fake. Looks smoothed though.
