Thank you. Those designs are pretty terrible. Was that something I drew in preschool? LOL!

Did you notice they upped the weight from .75 oz to 1 oz and the denomination from $75 to $100? And the silver medal is to be the same design according to a Coin World article from June 27th.

I added them now below: I like it, but the mintage of 50k will most likely mean that it will suffer the same fate as the RP Buffalo. Well, we'll see.

Are these suppose to be Commemoratives or bullion coins, not sure what the issue is all about.

^ I think this coin was "demanded" by numismatists. There is nothing to celebrate other than another High Relief gold coin. I honestly prefer these coins to those forced releases because of these m**ons in Congress & the HoR who still think like cowboys in the Wild West (shot first, then ask)... Ah well, don't get me started!

Reminds me of the RP Buffalo at nearly 48K, these will probably not fly off the shelves as beautiful as they are. They are totally EXPENSIVE puppies. I'm guessing if gold stays within the $1,150-$1,200/oz range these will debut slightly higher than the proof Buffalo @ $1,540.00. This coin will very likely cannibalize sales from the proof Buffalo as well. Which makes Buffalo proof a total mintage sleeper. I'm guessing $1,575.00 per coin on opening day.

Quote: Are these suppose to be Commemoratives or bullion coins, not sure what the issue is all about. They are bullion. The Mint notice how the collectors went Gah gah over the UHR Saint-Gaudens so they figured we would buy a third one oz gold coin if they made it high relief as well. Since the denomination is $50 higher than the .999 fine Buffalo, I wonder if the price will also be $50 higher even though it is exactly the same weight and fineness?

Quote: The gold piece has extremely high technical excellence. Artwork reasonably good. Sel's word must carry some weight. I am interested in this gold coin, however with budget constraint, I can only get 1 gold coin so I will have to decide..... Quote: This coin will very likely cannibalize sales from the proof Buffalo as well. Which makes Buffalo proof a total mintage sleeper. I totally agree with Bizybackson, as I did when the RP Gold Buffalo was released. However, I didn't follow through to buy the PF Gold Buffalo. Lesson learned. Now, the question is: With this HR release, what do you think the impact will this have on the 2009 UHR Gold Eagle? I don't have the 2009 UHR Gold either.... :( I'm with jbuck on the silver medal: Gotta have it.
