I can't wait to see how what is going on with the Truman sets (now sealed boxes of 5 are selling for $800+ (should have held onto mine oh well)) will affect the Ike dollar sets too. I can't believe these are this popular but 17,000 is an amazingly low number for a major denomination coin. Reminds me of some mintages 200+ years ago on classic coins

I plan on sitting on my sets for a long time to come. These will surely be long term winners.

For those who are interested I did get a response email from NGC (Lisa) saying that the "sets" had to be submitted in their original folder (not sealed)...which didn't really answer my dollar only submission question....so I called and the rep just read the PR stating that the dollar can be submitted on its own with no packaging but if you want both then the folder is needed She had no answer to "Why, since both are unique to the set"...

I kind of wish I could sit on more of the sets I had for long term but since I don't really have the money to be buying them I had to get rid of them ASAP except for 2 since I am in the positive already. Also helps to get us caught up with some expenses from moving and gives my wife confidence for the other RP sets. Quick flips may not be the best financially but it definitely doesn't hurt every once in a while... also gets to save a tiny bit for other coin purchases. :)

Yup, I'm tracking that one & I think its only the RP not set. Same guy that wants 25k for both. He's setting the market for offers on the 25k set

Sheesh lucky guy. haha I highly doubt 25,000 will be the set price but still a couple of grand would not be shabby whatsoever... pay a bit of bills that would.

The 25 large dude had two for sale for that price and accepted a "best offer" for one of them. I can't see the accepted price until both sell..

How does one see the accepted price? It seems others can do that but I haven't seen how to.

I did't even notice that ...also, I just took a closer look at the 25k 70 he has pictured and look on trumans lower forehead just above the nose bridge (spot or ding?)...then look at the reverse edge behind the book and lower left (spots?)

That's very interesting on the PF70 coins.
Like I have said, MCM offered almost 100 sets in PF69. However, they have NOT offered any PF70 coins/sets for sale. Anyone want to guess why?
Two possible reasons I can think of: They want to hold on to those for a latter date OR they did NOT get any in PF70 (if this is the case, then the overall population for PF70 is VERY SMALL).

Quote: It would be MUCH easier for them to just drop the HH limit..but...I have never see a HH limit of 3 (or 2) for anything....it is either one or five....one would be a pain but would definitely prolong sales until it is lifted Agreed. As I have said more than once, I only want one, so a household limit of one will be just fine with me. We all know that those who really want more than one will always be able to get more than one.

Because they have no clue what the market is for the 70's. I'm sure they got some but the percentage has to way below their normal predicted numbers...smart move waiting to see where they fall. Recent NGC 2015 PF Pres $1's averaged around 35-40% 70's with ZERO below PF69...ZERO No clue why this RP would be that much lower but apparently it is...NGC updated their POP's today and no numbers there on the RP

Intesting fox, I hadn't thought about that so I had to look & Only 1 truman 68 has sold on ebay and I can find NO 68's for sale... Maybe 68s & 70s are the oddballs and 69 IS what most are coming back as?
