Here's a nice 1931 five cent coin but It's difficult to get a picture of both the lustre and detail together.....I hope these pictures are sufficient for a grade estimate. Grade opinion please? Cheers, Bill

I won't comment on the grade, I know a lot of this series is weakly struck and it always throws me off by a fair margin,
but can I ask what camera are you using bill? I can't get any detail at all on these nickels.

Hi Wade, I use a cheap point and shoot camera but it does have a macro setting for close up pictures and a three times zoom. The camera is a Nikon Coolpix 5600 that's got to be close to ten years old.

Very nice coin. MS63, the scratch across the beard/neck stops it from going higher I think. Heritage has only ever sold 4 of these in MS.
