More information for youOk... decision of reward has been made. I don't have any duplicates of anything so the awarded prize will be taken out from my private collection, which I can replace later.
As for the identity of what it is. You'll just have to wait till the winner receives it.
I will keep this up till Monday Jan 14th. 12 noon EST Sorry , wrong date entered should be Jan 7th Which should give you more than enough time to come up with your 'can't put down' suggestions. I will announce winner of the chosen 'new' author picked then.
My interest lead towards Mystery and Thrillers: Medical thrillers Horror Legal thrillers Thrills and Chillsmila_

Hi,
I listen to Books on Tape on my long drive to and from each year.
I grabbed this one on a whim because it was available to download, but it has turned out to be a great read so far - I mean listen.
Angels Flight by Michael Connelly. It is a Murder Mystery based in Los Angeles and has a racially charged plot(LA post OJ/Rodney King).

I went to the library and reviewed all suggestions and picked one author that caught my attention. If no one else makes any other suggestions by the cut off date Jan 7th, this pick will be called the winner.
So..if you want to eliminate the one chosen so far, give me more authors, more suggestions. mila_

Hi Sylvia, Not sure if this comes into the equation, doesn't matter. A short story: The Lotter by Shirley Jackson.(American) I found it in "Great Short Stories of the World", a 1972 Readers Digest publication. She may have also published her own anthology? If you can't find it, I'll photo copy it for you. It's only about six pages. regards,
