Hello,

I bought this coin recently for around $20.
What do you think about the grade?

XF-40 Details at best. Not enough detail on the ribbon to make AU, in my opinion.

AU details, this is just on the borderline of XF and AU details.

Am I the only one who thinks possible environmental damage, with definite old cleaning?

I believe it is xf 40 details because of enviormental mold etc so bringing it to net vf 30 I would pay $60 without even thinking anymore or less about it. I also think 1866 is under rated. I don't go by mintage I go by how many are currently available. tougher coin to find in this grade

Mikey, you cannot take a details coin, and "net" it to make it a problem free grade.
