It looks just fantastic to me. Beautiful coin. Certainly 58 at worst, but from what I can see, 65BN or better.

AU-58BN. Love the broken "L" in LIBERTY :) Nice Half Cent!

Beautiful - sure would like to find one like that at a reasonable price. A strong 58 by me. Take care of the tiny green spots on the reverse before they go any furthur - you can make them disappear :)

Absolute nearest possible grade to Uncirculated. Sweet and tasty 58.

AU-58. A beautiful high grade, problem free Half Cent this early is really difficult to come across.

That was really weird. I was thinking VF30. Guess I should polish up my copper skills.

hmm.difficult one,but I will say AU58. The reverse says at least MS60, but the obverse seems to me to show a touch of wear on the high points. A very nice coin, by the way.

I love the variety (Cohen 2)...I would give her an AU58. Sweet coin! "Ron Guth: Included among the varieties of 1828 Half Cents is the very unusual 12 Stars variety. Normally, Half Cents of this type bear 13 stars on the obverse (one for each of the original 13 colonies). However, on one obverse, the engraver accidentally left off one of the stars! The 12 Stars variety is relatively common in circulated grades, but commands a slight premium because of the unusual variety. Mint State examples are scarce, especially with any traces of mint luster. All of the examples certified so far by PCGS have the Brown designation and none has been graded above MS65." http://www.pcgscoinfacts.com/Coin/D...1150?redir=t
