Rolls of 2007 50c are selling for $50 here
I am not rushing out to get one, even though cost is reasonable I have my real doubts these are as scarce as some people think

I don't think the 2007 50¢ are going to be scarce as such, but here in QLD Rolls may very well be scarce. The security companies up here are doing up sealed plastic bags & the coins are in dreadful condition.

In 2008 coins I've got over 25 x $1, 18 x 20¢ & 12 x $2 so far & they're all covered in bag marks. I'm not lining up to buy rolls just yet, but it may be a case of have to if I want half decent coins.

Nancy I have been through the roll scenario for 6 years now and I can tell you from experience its not wise to buy rolls of coins until 2 years after issue thats when the hype is lowest and supply is highest

Saying that the RAM is supposably issuing a 2008 $1 roll of Scout coins but they will not tell you that

May is release date and its supposed to be the years circulating dollar even though the generic roos are circulating now

2007 had the APEC $1 rolls and they are still available on RAM website

The mintage of 2007 50c is rather abnormal and I haven't seen anything so low. If you look at the mintage back in June last year, 50c was declared at just 1.8 million ish. Unless the mint decides to ramp up it's production dramatically, it can be a lot lower than most other years. I'll still wait for the mint report to see what the final mintage is at. Can be an interesting figure.

Judging by the number of 2007 50¢ I see each week, I'd say the mintage is way past 10 million.

If there were only 1.8m, I reckon they'd be a lot harder to find.

Yes, hell of a lot of 2007 50 cent turning up for such a low mintage. I have actually found the 10 cent and 5 cent hardest to come by of the circulating coins. They have mintage's of 40 mill +. Where are they All?

The shortage of 2007 coins depends on where you are in Australia. Heaps of them in Brisbane, 5¢ are the hardest to come by but even so I've got over 50 of them.

There you go, ask and you shall receive I suppose. Was given in change today another 5 *07 10 Cent (to make 22) and 4 *07 5 cent( now have 14) in change today. Perhaps they will start flooding through now.
I bought a bag of 2007 10 Cent pieces a couple of days ago.
At least I'll have an excuse to open and sought for any variety.
Anyone know of any variety to look for on the 07 10 Cent yet apart from usual Cud on 0 rev and Doubling rev(tail, under body of Bird).?

farnby..I've got 7 x cheek Cuds, so you should start to see them soon. I've only got 2 x '0' Cuds. If you don't find any, I can send you one.

One is just a tiny Cud, some have the Cud attached to the bottom of a 'scar', one has 2 small Cuds sort of in the scar, one is a longish Cud, so they're nearly all slightly different.

Well I'm in Toowoomba, 2 hours from brissy and 5c here is high, as I said I went downstairs and found one in a change box, found another one today. I haven't seen any 2007 50c but I haven't been looking for them either so yeh, I'll post something when I've had a look.

Btw, theres a heap of 2007 20c here too.
