I worked on Texas a little bit today. I missed most of the past month for two reasons: 1) I got a new computer and it's driving me to distraction. 2) We had hawks in the back yard -- with a nest and babies. I usually would spend half and hour to an hour on the notes late afternoon but that was supper-time for the hawks and I was outside with the binoculars day after day.

Anyway, I'm settling back in to my old routine and it was fun to get back to work on the notes again.

Vermont Boxes 1 and 2 are up. There is also an 1897 mining journal for the Vulcan and Buck Mountain coal collieries.

DONE! Moments ago, I signed off on the last note in the last (and only) box of Wyoming nationals. Unless there are some out of order boxes that haven't been posted, that should wrap up the transcription project. It's been fun! I've learned a great deal from going through these proofs -- it's been a terrific education!
