@Panda: Via the US Mint website
"Second of four presidential special sets to be available in 2015, includes a Presidential $1 Reverse Proof Coin minted in Philadelphia"
"Mintage Limit: None" "Product Limit: 17,000"
There will still be a Reverse Proof that has a mintage limit of 17,000 as this is the only time the Reverse Proof will be offered for sale, and the product limit is 17,000. Exactly as it was for the Truman one.

@Groszy: The set Product Limit is 17,000, but the $1 Reverse Proof Coin has No Mintage Limit and can be found outside this set.

Grozy, I'm reading the page and it makes no mention of the phrase "only available in this set" as it did for Truman. Unless I'm missing it they just left a door wide open

Quote: I must say though that the reverse design of the silver medal is Agreed. It is very, very nice. I am going to miss that bronze medal even more now. I suspect it was removed to prevent feeding the frenzy, to give everyone a fair shot at it. Whatever the case, if they are indeed planning to offer the RP dollar independently of the set, they will not do it until all 17,000 sets have sold.

As mentioned the mintage and product limit is the same as on the Truman set but it is interesting that they didn't include the "only available in this set" statement... If they do make it available elsewhere it will cement the Truman as the key of the RP $1 series

The product page for AX1 also says "Mintage Limit: None".
edit: oops, I see this has been brought up previously. At any rate, there will be a lot of upset collectors if somehow the Truman RP shows up in another set this year. I highly doubt that Truman, Ike, Kennedy or Johnson RPs will be available in any other product but who knows.

It would be incredibly terrible for the mint to release these in other sets after they have said that they would only be available in these sets. Imagine you are one of the people who is currently buying the reverse proof Truman dollar for $200 on ebay, these people would be furious if they were released in another offering. I can't imagine the mint would want to bring that much criticism on themselves.

Who says they're not going to release an ike/kennedy/Johnson rp set sans truman. Did they make a blanket statement saying that all the c&c rp's will only be in these sets? I haven't seen that and if so why would they specifically put it in the wording of the truman yet purposefully omit it on ike... I think they're at least thinking about rereleasing the 3 rp's in a set for Christmas and if they do truman will skyrocket!

The mint has said these will be only available in the Coin & Chronicles sets. They made that pronouncement quite sometime ago. I seriously doubt they will be in any other releases this year.
