I collect coins and I'm looking through rolls. But I'm wondering, is there any way to make it go a bit faster? I'm looking for double dies on pennies and it takes for ever so I'm wondering if anybody has secret tips on looking at coins.

?

31, I open a number of rolls and separate by date first and glean out the trash. Then I go thru them by date pile. It keeps me from having to go back and refer to reference material as I only have to review once instead of every time I pick-up a new date. It still takes time but this has speed up the process for me.

Depends on whether the rolls are solid date or mixed, depends on whether you are using a microscope or if you're using a hand held loupe. Depends on a number of factors.

I can typically look through 2,500 coins a day in about a three hour sitting, but I have a microscope, I sort the coins by date in the thousands before I even start looking, and I have 30 years experience.

My coin sorting is pretty easy. I pay coppercoins for the ones he finds since I don't have the time to search. :P
