Well that doesn't bode well for hoping the price would go up on these as a set and individually !.....the fact that you got it "cheaper".
.....nice photos !....
I bought the set and another Silver Dollar........they are some beauties I tell you !!........very very very attractive coins in person. Some of the sharpest looking Ultra Moderns I've seen !...

Well the thing is, you can get it cheaper now but the whole program only allowed 600,000 of silver 600,000 of clad and 100,000 of gold if I do believe. So as time goes by I am positive in 5 years it will be close to $100 for the silve about 50 for the clad and about on spot with gold for gold prices

Surcharges from the sale of this coin are authorized to be paid to the American Eagle Foundation of Tennessee to further its works.
US Mint

Just wondering if that was what commemoratives are all about kinda like the get a percentage of the coin sale or what?
are commemorative coins usually part of a foundation

Yeah, they've been doing that for awhile now......a percentage goes towards helping "foundations" for preservation, study, etc....
It's a good idea IMHO

Here in Kansas even too.....we see Bald and Golden eagles fairly regularly. 15 years back we even had a nesting site out at a lake that was "off limits" to the public for fear of disturbing them. Glad to see the return of this bird in healthy numbers !

The program has been to good in Alaska. They have way to many up there. Hope they start catching the young ones and relocate them all over the lower 48. I've lived here for 15 years. In the last 3 or so I've seen a few fly over. Very impressive bird. To think , we could of had a turkey. lol

Bald Eagle $5 Gold Coins

Weight: 8.359 grams nominal

The Bald Eagle $5 Gold contains slightly less gold than a 1/4 oz Eagle.

The modern $5 and $10 gold commems are at the pre-1933 circulating coinage standards for size and weight.
