In keeping with my moniker, here is one of my favorites: a $20 small size national from the Yakima First National Bank, charter 3355. It was my first note from my old hometown.   |

GregAlex, I have always ben somewhat envious of those who reside in states that had banks which issued obsolete notes. None exist for Washington State as best as I can tell.

Since there are no obsolete banknotes from Washington State, I started collecting depression era scrip from my home state. Here are 2 that are a little unuaual, wooden scrip from Tenino and Willapa Harbor. Now you have to admit, you don't see these every day.   |
