One of my favorites notes because of the vignettes on the back of the note. Series 1914 Federal Reserve Note blue seal(Fr.-931b) signatures White/Mellon 1921-1928. The vignettes on the back depict Agriculture and Commerce. Not a rare note, nor expensive in mid-grade. Like the $2 Battleship,it has great eye appeal.

Steve: I really like most of the vignettes on the back of these large size notes too! They show nice historical scenes or allegories! That was money! So notes should look like! They are much more interesting as the funny backs of some of my small size... I like these funny backs too, but on the other hands it's true: They look like play money...

These are my favorites because they were handed down from my Grandmother to my mother and then from my Mom to me. I'm going to leave them ( and others) to my Grandaughter. I'm new to this so I'm not sure if there is anything special about them (other than the fact they're $500 notes).

cashhound: Wow! Congratulation! I love these higher denominations! And I enjoy any story behind these notes! It's nice to know more about a note and if this is a family heritage... Simply great!

I've already shown many of my LGS notes. But my absolutely favorite notes are the Clevelands. Not only the Minny I've posted in this thread, no, I love them all. All I was able to hunt down... THEY are my favorite notes.

Quite a display! The Salmon P. Chases's are my favorites, but I don't keep them at home.

No, but seriously I think my favorite right now is the 1907 Woodchopper with the PCBLIC error. This could change in a couple months or so.. Not the most expensive in the collection but a favorite ;)

You don't keep them at home? I must confess that I don't keep these notes at home too. They are all stored in my bank vault. So this is just an older pic of some Clevelands when I had five in the set. A "fan" of Clevelands. Strange that I haven't similar group-photos to show my other LGS notes but I will make them later this year.

amrys - just kidding on the Chases, of course, though I did see the old display at Binion's in Las Vegas many times.

So I believe anything or nothing you say. You've seen the original Binion display? You're a lucky guy! I know only a few photos...
