It appears only half the 90,000 mintage sold in the first day. Got this from the Mint a minute ago:
First day of sales for the 2015 American $1 Coin and Currency Set is 44,344.

I ordered two sets when I got home from work around 6:00 eastern time yesterday. Ordering went very smooth and the order has shipped.

My order went through at 12:23 and I still haven't seen any email about it being shipped. I bet if they would have kept the mintage down to 60K they would have sold out. These might last until they lift the HHL in a couple of weeks.

Yeah I think the 90k limit was probably too high for a 1-day sellout.

The ordering process was a nightmare, but there is a silver lining. I ordered 5, sold 4 on ebay for $40 each 4 hours later! Easy $60 profit for 30 minutes of work! |
