Quote: Really, US Mint? No one there saw this before you shipped it? Quote:Quote: Unfortunately, it is mine. I guess there isn't much I can do except send it back. At least there are plenty left for a replacement... That was my first thought, but still, really? That is should be an easy problem to catch.

I just received my four sets in the mail. I was kinda surprised. I thought the dollar bills would all be in order with the serial numbers. I was wrong. two of them are in order. Two are not. The two that are not end in 73 and 75. The two in order are twenty numbers higher ending in 95 and 96.

Quote: I thought the dollar bills would all be in order with the serial numbers. You thought the mint was run in some kind of orderly fashion? Well let me tell you something, it took the mint almost 3 months to refund me for my 2015 silver proof set I sent back because the nickle had a scratch on it (true story). The left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing there.

Quote: Looks like it slid down and BENT around the cardboard That's exactly what happened. Just received 5, and one of them has slid down, and the cardboard looks to pressed around the bottom of the plastic sleeve. The bottom portion of the bill, below the signatures are not visible. I was thinking the bills were put in a regular sleeve, and then sealed, but looks like two pieces of plastic, cut to size. The bill was just inserted wrong.

If these are assembled at the US Mint, are they technically Mint errors? As I said before, at $14.95 I might just keep it to show the quality of the products that comes out of the Mint.

Lunch Money....One of the sets I received has the same issue with the bill, except instead of it being low in the holder, it's almost an inch to the right. I tried tapping the end thinking it might slide back into place but it didn't budge. Can't take a pic as I don't have my camera. Looks to me like there's absolutely no quality control. Between the problems placing orders and receiving items like this, I'm done ordering from the mint.

I received the five sets that I ordered. The dollar coins and bills look great. All five bills are sequentially numbered. The only issue that I found is that the coin holders are not pressed down around the coins all the way. One side is pressed all the way together where it should be, but the other side was not. I pressed them all together, but the holders almost seem too small for the coins. A couple of the coins are a little darker where the holder was more open. I'm guessing that some toning has started. Overall, I'm pretty pleased with what I received. I hope the mint caps the mintage at 50k or so, but I'm not holding my breath.

So if you submit this for grading and don't want the OGP returned, do you get a $1 credit?

Mine is scheduled to come tomorrow (unless USPS decides to hold onto it over the weekend). Of course Fedex decided get these out for delivery on Saturday when I'm not in a rush, but couldn't do the same thing with my Eisenhower sets when I wanted to submit my flipper for grading at the WFoM, but instead decided to wait until Monday to tender to USPS.

"If submitting only the coin to NGC or only the note to PMG, only the panel with the coin or note should be submitted along with the appropriate grading company submission form. The panel must be intact."
What "panel" are they talking about? Is there anyway to remove it without destroying the whole packaging?

I'm glad I ordered 5 sets. 4 of 5 sets had the bills slid over and folded. Needless to say, they are going back.
