i agree paralyse, as soon as I saw it in hand I looked what a "UNC improperly" cleaned coin goes for and if it was even remotely close I would of kept it. the prices aren't even close AND the seller said in the description "only a few bag marks" but forgot to mention the toothbrush size scratches on the obverse which you cant see in the photos. lol I filed to return it but ebay is giving seller until 18th to respond before they step in. I'm sure hes going to run out the time as much as possible.

Like I posted and demonstrated earlier, I think it was the weird angle of the lighting that made the difference with the original photo. But there is the possibility that the lighting was continually adjusted until the seller found an angle that made the surfaces look the best, then took the photo. I also think at this point that a noise-removal filter or something was applied to smooth out the surfaces without removing detail. Maybe that's why it looked so shiny at first, but now appears granular. Something I suspected at first, but wasn't sure enough to say.

Man he manipulated the heck out of those pics. You should post the listing so we can all avoid getting taken by this guy. I know it's the same coin but it sure looks wayyy different in hand.

Just my opinion, but the Seller deserves some much needed "neutral" (at a minimum) feedback. The pictures of the actual coin received no where near matches the Seller's original pictures. They were obviously tampered with by the Seller to make the coin look way better than it actual was. If the Seller did it to this coin, he most likely does it to other coins, too.

Past performance is indicative of future behavior.

Mikey, he retured the coin and even then, NONE of the "Big 3" companies give grades to cleaned coins. This one would've come back UNC Details, Cleaned.

This is a tough one. The surfaces don't look original, perhaps it has been polished or diooed.Looks like low ms details.
