Bought these at about 25% of Red Book, assuming that the FE cent is NOT an overdate, which I think it is. I can't get a clear enough close up photo to download. I see an extension from the 7 at the top right of the 2nd 8, faint, but it is there + the break in the eagles wing tip, but not the dot in the field above the first 8. It may have worn off as the coin is VG. I will take the FE cent to an LCS for an expert opinion, then I can be certain. In any case, a nice group of coins well below market value. The Queen Victoria Canadian 5 cent is worth about $10.

Congratulations on finding some nice items for your collection. Estate sales are as much entertainment as they are places to buy coins, but they are fun!

We could probably help you with the 58/7 if you could give us a sharp close-up.

Probably not. I did buy some sterling silver jewelry at the estate sale, but wrote about mostly base metal coins. I have reposted my 1858/7 query to the general coin forum.

I went to the offices of ANACS in Colorado, they say it is NOT an overdate. Planning to sell it on ebay as a VG 1858 FE cent for $30.
