Yes, it is original. 5 grams of .835 silver. The date is quite common for this type.

It appears original, however, I would not be surprised if they have been counterfeited! Do a specific gravity test.

I am unaware of a high quality forgery of this coin. It is too common for most forgers to bother with.

Specific Gravity in this case (a 5 gram size coin) would need a very high quality scale capable of weighing to 1/10,000th of a gram accurately. I have only seen such scales in laboratories and they cost between $1,000 and $4,000.
