Quote: Surprisingly few had (interesting) coins, no steals today... Regardless, you manage to bring home a nice mix, week after week.

It is with great disappointment I have to say that today didn't bring along anything. I arrived late to the market after some family business, but the day started out rainy as well and that probably scared off some sellers. Regardless, can't get something new every week, and now I have more money for next time. See you then

It was bound to happen. I still remember that one coin show, it was nearly twelve years ago, when I walked out empty handed. A not so nice feeling. But I bounced back and so shall you! Better luck next time.

Bouncing back it sure did! Although today gave terrible weather (Heavy snowfall in APRIL? What is this world?), I did manage to score a smaller selection of coins on today's market. 1 Pfennig, Free city of Danzing 1923 & 1926 1 Cent, US 1945 25 Centimes, Luxembourg 1946 1 Cent, US 1990 1 Dime, US 1965 10 Cents, Netherlands 1904 10 Kopeyek, USSR 1932 50 Lepta, Greece 1966 2 Centesimos, Uruguay 1924 & 1944 1/32 Birr, Ethiopia 1897 10 Groszy, Poland 1961, 1963, 1975 10 Filler, Hungary 1975 20 Tolarjev, Slovenia 2003 All of this for 20 SEK. Every since I sold my Danzig 2 Gulden I've wanted to get some Danzig coins again. Sadly, these are more common and thus less valuable but they still hold some value. Looking forward to next week!

1st of May, the day when people protest against everything political and socialism shouts loudly at everyone. It also happened to be on a Sunday. And a pretty nice one aswell! It was warm, with temperatures peaking at almost 18°C. Quite the contrast compared to last week. I honestly felt like I was melting with my coat, scarf and gloves on looking though coins in the sun. I guess I'm not ready for summer yet. Beautiful weather means lots of sellers. I don't think theyre was any avalible room for other sellers at the square today. Today's batch cost me 32 SEK, with pictures as follows: 10 Centimes, France 1994 20 Centimes, France 1984 1 Franc, France 1949 1 Markka, Finland 1990 5 Markkaa, Finland 1984 1 Cent, US 1984 & 1987 1/4 Dollar, US 1951-D, today's silver ˝ Penny, UK 1957 1 Penny, UK 1921 2 Pence, UK 1988 (x2) & 1994 3 Pence, UK 1940 20 Pence, UK 1989 50 Pence, UK 1980 1 Grosz, Poland 1949 1 Milličme, Tunisia 1960 50 Öre, Sweden 2003 5 Euro Cents, Spain 2008 10 Euro Cents, Luxembourg 2011 10 Agorot, Israel 1 Krone, Norway 1959 20 Drchmai, Greece 1976 And a shell token, they seem to be everywhere. (Bell XS1 1947) That's all for today

I made it to the Barcelona Sunday AM coin market at the placa real - near la rambla. I found out the market was going to be there because of a 6 year old thread in this forum!
I came out with a 1992 liberatad Mexican fractional silver set. 1 1/2 1/4 1/10 and 1/20 ozt silver coins in BU - and it great shape too. Paid 35€ ! It was the best deal there I think. I almost got this 1935p quarter for 11 euro, but it was a weak strike, and I already spent my money. Thanks coin community for showing me the Sunday market!

Today was a pretty hot day with temperatures reaching 22°C. Lots of sellers and some coins thrown in here and there. Here's today's 16 SEK downs: 10 Öre, Sweden 1945 Cash coin replica? Doesn't sound like a brass coin and too small for a normal cash coin. 1 Farthing, UK 1951 20 Qindarka, Albania 1964 10 Centimes, France 185x-MA 200 Escudos, Portugal 1992 (commemorative coin, new world) And found at the bus station: 50 Euro Cents, Finland 2009 Free money, again

@dohcollector: Living in Scandinavia myself, I can understand why. There's probably not that many sellers out in bad weather and, in all honesty, bad weather here can be really bad and most people won't spend more than 5 minutes outside if there's no one forcing them to go out with a shotgun or so. :) Either that or the coins are just deep frozen to the stands and therefore cannot be sold...
