I appreciate the help on helping with the 1921 Peace dollar I had on whether it was cleaned. Well I decided to crack it out of that plastic holder to place in the folder. Once I started to handle it, I noticed there was a sticky residue on the cheek, so I quickly gave it an acetone bath to remove the sticky residue. All gone now, so I decided to take pics of it raw before placing in the folder. Updated thoughts? What would you grade it if not?

Edit: I changed the pics once more using natural sunlight as the lighting instead of light from my ceiling fan.

A bit hard to tell from pics, but my gut says not cleaned. Does it have that goldish color in hand? Maybe adjust your white balance?

That's from the ceiling fan light, let me try with natural sunlight.

Edit: Fixed the original post with pics using natural light instead of my ceiling fan.

I'm not seeing the halo effect that is so common from dipping a Peace. Looks no problem to me.

What would you grade it (out of curiosity)?

VF details, due to that gash across her face.

I think old cleaning.

Appreciate the opinions. I'll keep her in the folder, but definitely will probably look to see if I can find one more "pure" (not cleaned, natural) and replace it. I paid $90 at a live auction wanting to buy it to fill my folder, but paid more attention to the date than the condition of the coin.
